Graduate Degree Programs
This year, UCF approved two new doctoral programs:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (The program is awaiting final approval of the Florida Board of Governors. The anticipated start date is fall 2007.)
Two new master's degree programs:
Six new graduate degree tracks were also created in the following programs:
- Clinical and Lifestyle Sciences Track in the M.S. in Health Sciences
- Science Education Track in the Ph.D. in Education
- Accelerated undergraduate/graduate program in Aerospace Engineering
- Accelerated undergraduate/graduate program in Computer Engineering
- Accelerated undergraduate/graduate program in Electrical Engineering
- Accelerated undergraduate/graduate program in Mechanical Engineering
Program name changes occurred for the following programs:
- Curriculum and Instruction Ed.D. became Education Ed.D.
- Curriculum and Instruction Ed.S. became Education Ed.S.
- Vocation Education M.A. became Career and Technical Education M.A.
- Biomolecular Science Ph.D. became Biomedical Sciences Ph.D.
- Liberal Studies M.A., M.S. became Interdisciplinary Studies M.A., M.S.
- Maya Studies Track moved from Liberal Studies to Anthropology M.A.
University Fellowships
The university is proud to offer the UCF Graduate McNair Fellowship beginning Fall 2007. The UCF Graduate McNair Fellowship is a competitive fellowship that is offered to the most outstanding undergraduate McNair scholars who are accepted into UCF graduate programs. This fellowship award is worth over $20,000 for a master's student and more than $35,000 for a doctoral student. Interested students should submit a UCF Graduate McNair Fellowship Application to the Division of Graduate Studies (Millican Hall 230).
UCF's Summer Mentoring Fellowship now provides a $3,500 stipend for minority graduate students to work closely with a faculty member on a research project during the summer term. If you are interested in this fellowship program, talk with your graduate program coordinator.
