University ETD Deadlines

Fall 2009

For all thesis and dissertation students intending to graduate in Fall 2009:

• Oct 9: Last day to request a thesis or dissertation defense date from your adviser
• Oct 9: Doctoral students -- Last day to submit for initial Format Review (Doctoral students who fail to submit a bookmarked PDF dissertation draft to the editor will not be granted a format review in time for final submission)
• Oct 9: Doctoral students -- Suggested deadline to submit final document to Turnitin.com through adviser
• Oct 23: Master's students -- Last day to submit for initial Format Review (Master's students who fail to submit a bookmarked PDF thesis draft to the editor will not be granted a format review in time for final submission)
• Oct 23: Master's Students -- Suggested deadline to submit final document to Turnitin.com through adviser
• Nov 6: Last day for thesis or dissertation defense
• Nov 20: All ETD requirements must be met and final ETDs uploaded by 5:00 pm to qualify for Fall 2009 graduation

Spring 2010

For all thesis and dissertation students intending to graduate in Spring 2010:

• March 5: Last day to request a thesis or dissertation defense date from your adviser
• March 5: Doctoral students -- Last day to submit for initial Format Review (Doctoral students who fail to submit a bookmarked PDF dissertation draft to the editor will not be granted a format review in time for final submission)
• March 5: Doctoral students--Suggested deadline to submit final document to Turnitin.com through adviser
• March 19: Master's students -- Last day to submit for initial Format Review (Master's students who fail to submit a bookmarked PDF thesis draft to the editor will not be granted a format review in time for final submission)
• March 19: Master's students -- Suggested deadline to submit final document to Turnitin.com through adviser
• Apr 2: Last day for thesis or dissertation defense
• Apr 16: All ETD requirements must be met and final ETDs uploaded by 5:00 pm to qualify for Spring 2010 graduation
