Nondegree-Seeking Students

These instructions apply to students who have been accepted as nondegree-seeking students, including those who are taking graduate courses for their own enrichment, seeking State of Florida certification, or taking courses for a graduate certificate program. These instructions also apply to transient students.

Continuing nondegree-seeking students will be assigned an appointment day for registration. The registration day and appointment time is available through myUCF (https://my.ucf.edu).

Before You Register See the Department that is Offering the Course

All nondegree students must consult with the department that is offering the desired course. The following colleges have restrictions as noted for nondegree students:  

College of Arts and Humanities (CAS 190, 407-823-2251) - Nondegree students need to contact the department offering the course(s).

College of Business Administration (EDC, West Pine Street, Orlando, FL 32801, 407-235-3917) - Nondegree students cannot register for foundation courses. If you are a Transient Student, please contact the college prior to registering.

College of Education and Human Performance (ED 115, 407-823-5369) - Nondegree seeking students may only take 5000 and 6000 level courses.

College of Engineering and Computer Science (ENGR 107, 407-823-2455) - Nondegree students need to contact the department offering the course(s).

College of Health and Public Affairs (HPA 343, 407-823-4025) - Nondegree students need to contact the department offering the course(s).

College of Optics and Photonics (CROL 101, 407-823-6800)

College of Sciences (CSB 201, 407-823-1997) - Nondegree students need to contact the department offering the course(s). 

Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences (HPA2 336, 407-823-4677)

Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCH 201B, 407-903-8105)

College of Nursing (HPA 310, 407-823-0133)

Auditing a Class

To audit a class, students should obtain an Audit Form from the Reistrar's Office (407-823-3100) and submit it to the department where the course is being offered. The audit Registration Form can also be downloaded from the Registrar's Office website.

Transcript from Your Undergraduate Institution

If you have not yet submitted an official transcript from your undergraduate institution, please be sure you submit it (in a sealed envelope) to the UCF College of Graduate Studies or have it sent to this address:

Late Registration

If you register during late registration, you will be assessed a late registration fee. A late payment fee will also be assessed on accounts not paid or deferred by the Fee Payment Deadline. Be sure to check the official UCF Academic Calendar and the Tuition and Fees Schedule for the current academic year fees and deadlines.

Financial Matters

Please note that nondegree students are not eligible for financial aid. Nondegree students must take 12 hours in order to be considered full-time and keep previous loan payments deferred.
